Falafel, one of the most popular Middle Eastern dishes in combination with delicious tahini sauce. Chickpeas are known for their health benefits and they are very rich in protein.
Our recipe shows much healthier version using Air Fryer instead of deep frying in oil.

Falafel With Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
Falavels
- 4 cups Soaked Chickpeas
- 1/4 bunch fresh parsley
- 3 tbsp dried cilantro
- 1/4 bunch fresh mint
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp sesame seed toasted
- salt and pepper to taste
- 5 tbsp sesame seed
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup flour
Tahini Sauce
- 1 cup Tahini Paste
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
Instructions
- Roughly chop onion, garlic and herbs and set aside
- Put soaked chickpeas in the food processor (if you use dry chickpeas be sure that you soak them overnight so they can absorb the right amount of water)
- Add spices and fresh herbs in food processor
- Add onion and garlic
- Add oil for consistency (be sure all ingredients are well mixed, repeat the process if needed)
- Form inch size balls from the grounded mass
- Put falafels in air fyer on 355F (180C) for 15 minutes
- For tahini sauce, mix all ingredients together in food processor (it is up to you, but tahini sauce for falafel is less dence, so add more water if you want)
