Bread
- 1/2 pound bread (250g)
- 4 tbsp butter (2 knob)
- 2 tsp chilli flakes
Instructions
Et Sote
- Add beef and butter to a frying pan and cook on a medium heat.
- Once the juices have reduced, add onion and pepper (and chilli, if using).
- Stir around until onion and pepper have softened a little.
- Now add grated tomato and simmer for a couple of minutes so you allow the beef to absorb the juices and cook through.
- Add chopped tomatoes, oregano and seasoning and stir.
- After a couple of minutes, add tomato puree and around 1 cup (250ml) water.
- Stir until puree has dissolved and simmer until beef has completely softened.
- Add more water if your sauce thickens too much.
- Remove from the heat.
Bread croutons
- Roughly cut bread into bite-sized chunks.
- Heat the butter and chilli flakes in a pan and add the bread.
- Stir around until bread starts to crisp and toast (around 3 minutes).
- Arrange the bread around the edges of two large bowls and add your Et Sote to the center.
- Sprinkle with the parsley and serve.
- Enjoy!
